Different Immigration Pathways
Work Permit with PR:
The Candidate attends the interview as scheduled by the employer and upon selection the candidate is issued a TR i.e. a work permit is issued by the Canadian government. According to the Canadian government if you wish to be eligible for an open work permit you must meet the below 5 requirements:
- Residency
- Application for a temporary resident to a permanent resident pathway
- Authorized to work
- Language requirements
- Immigration status
If you have a valid work permit you can apply up to 4 months before your current work permit expires. Your family members can apply any time after you submit your PR
Visit Visa
Candidate must meet some basic requirements to get a visitor visa: Have a valid travel document, like passport.
- Must be in good health
- Must not hold any criminal or immigration related convictions
- Convince an immigration officer that you have ties – such as job, home, financial
- Assets or family that will take you back to your home country.
- Convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada.
- Financially sound during your stay in Canada
Family sponsorship visa
- Sponsor your relatives, including your spouse, partner, children, parents, grandparents, and others to immigrate.
- You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada if you’re at least 18 years old and
- A Canadian citizen or
- A person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act or
- A Permanent resident of Canada
Startup Visa
Canada’s Start-up Visa Program targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada (outside Quebec) that
- are innovative
- can create jobs for Canadians
- can compete on a global scale

Express Entry
Express entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry:
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
Provincial nominees (AIP/SINP)
Other new community programs – based on the updates provided by the Canadian government. Under this process, the candidates are assessed, and they have the CRS points that meet the provincial criteria:
- Candidates residing outside Canada and qualify for an EE application, with the help of a job offer from an employer based in certain provinces.
- Immigrate by being nominated by a Canadian province or territory
This program is for workers who:
- Have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory.
- Want to live in that province.
- Want to become permanent residents of Canada.
- Each province and territory * (except Quebec) has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target
