In order to qualify for a permanent residence permit, the applicant, must meet a number of basic requirements. You also must meet at least two of four supplementary requirements. If you meet all four supplementary requirements, you will qualify for a permanent residence permit after having resided legally in Denmark for four years, rather than the normal eight.
- Applicant must be over the age of 18
- Applicant must meet the requirements for their current residence permit.
- Applicant must have 8 years of legal residency in Denmark
- Applicant must not be convicted of any certain crimes
- Applicant must not have any overdue public debts
- In order to qualify for a permanent residence permit you may not have received certain social benefits within four years of applying for a permanent residence permit. Nor may you receive them until the time when the permanent residence permit is granted.
- You must accept a declaration of residence and self-support
- The applicant must be employed at the time of PR application
- You may not have worked against the establishment of your identity.
- Applicant to clear the Danish language test 2
- Applicant must have been employed for at least 3 years and 6 months.
